Known for setting high expectations while championing hardworking students, Laura’s exam-focused approach simplifies complex topics. When she’s not guiding future accountants to success, she’s always up for a chat about the latest TV shows or weekend plans.

With over 20 years in finance education, Richard’s taught everyone from GCSE newbies to Master's level pros, blending real-world insights with top-notch teaching. He’s designed and delivered countless programmes to help learners level up, both on and off the island, and has a track record of shaping high-calibre professionals (including our Michelle).  

Richard’s credentials? Impressive, of course – a graduate in Accounting and Financial Control, a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Plus, he’s got a PGCE teaching qualification to boot!

Sam is a governance and strategy specialist with a knack for making complex concepts engaging and accessible. She has built strong links with UK and international institutions, delivering lectures, seminars, and workshops that blend expertise with real-world insights. Passionate about integrity in business, she thrives on helping entrepreneurs and professionals navigate governance with confidence and common sense. When not teaching, Sam can be found refining new ideas over a strong cup of tea—her go-to tool for solving even the trickiest boardroom challenges.

 Richard’s career has been a global adventure in finance, strategy, and training from Manchester to Kazakhstan. A Chartered Accountant by trade, he started at Coopers & Lybrand before diving into international roles—leading audits, managing privatisation projects, and setting up new offices across Europe and Central Asia.

Since 2010, he’s been sharing his expertise in business strategy, valuations, and financial structuring. Having taught in 20 countries (and counting), Richard makes complex strategy feel refreshingly simple.
